GENIE

The Grid ENabled Integrated Earth system modelling (GENIE) project was the first phase of a project to develop a grid-based computing infrastructure for modelling the Earth, taking into consideration "atmosphere, ocean, sea-ice, marine sediments, land surface, vegetation and soil, ice sheets and the energy, biogeochemical and hydrological cycling within and between components."
The second phase changed its name to the GENIEfy project.
